Craft parties, pure and simple
Posted on: July 2, 2019
Here at Makedomenders, we pride ourselves that our own craft skills will make many guests at our parties really want to carry on the creativity long after the beads and buttons have been stashed away. So many lovely friends and family that come to our fun and crafty parties have no previous experience and, we can assure you, none is required.
So many of the crafts we offer can be adapted and simplified as an introduction to more complex techniques. This is made possible by the tutors having some real knowledge of the crafts and being personally involved in learning more about them.
Embroidery is a wonderful way to create and express oneself and I’ve recently been on two wonderful day-courses at Loop in London. First with Adriana from Miga de Pan with unusual and lesser-known stitches and Cecile Franconie at Facile Cecile and lush beads and embellishments.
We cherish to ability of craft to inspire and bringing our passion to the classes is our absolute top ambition. I think our testimonials really underline the success in that! Just listen to one of our many happy guests – We had a fab quilt making session with Bee for a hen do. I was so impressed at what (with Bee’s direction) everyone managed to create! Can’t wait to see the final product! Bee was great – both on the day of the hen do leading the session and with all the arrangements in the background (i.e. very responsive to emails and accommodating with our requests).
