Hens and brides aren’t the only ones that can enjoy craft parties and workshops. Baby showers are the perfect way to incorporate welcoming the arrival of a new baby with a little craft between friends at the same time as creating something memorable.

Our quilt making workshops are the perfect event to entertain your friends at such a happy time and they can feel really proud contributing and personalising a patchwork quilt that will remind the family over the years. Your sewing skills aren’t going to be a problem as the Menders’ tutors are all experienced in helping even the most timid beginner and we can even give you some tips to make you a confident mender too!

We are happy to travel to your own venue across the south of England and, if you’re stuck for ideas, we have many lovely locations of our own that we like to use when we’re in London or beyond. We’ve just received a lovely testimonial from one of our clutch of recent showers which I wanted to share with you as a little encouragement if you’re in the early planning stages!

‘I really wanted to let you know how much everyone enjoyed it and how wonderful everyone thought you were; your patience and encouragement and frankly blind belief that we could do it (!!) meant that we all rather surprised ourselves at our sewing prowess!!!! Honestly you were fab and really helped a bunch of, mostly, novices pull a square or two out of the bag, and we all really enjoyed it and are feeling a bit inspired now, so you have officially spread your crafting magic!! That, and the delicious (and I thought brilliantly unobtrusive) tea (at the wonderful Betty Blythe in west London) and cakes made for a lovely afternoon. Thank you so so much, Bee, I hope you enjoyed it too, and had a lovely supper afterwards!’

¬†Whether you’re the mum-to-be or the best friend looking to show your pregnant friend how excited you all are at the upcoming arrival, contact the Makedomenders and we’ll help make it a day to remember long after the baby is out of nappies!
